Take a fully guided tour of this spectacular piece of history, towering above the rugged coastline of the Southwest tip of Bruny Island, with Bruny Island Safaris.
Hear stories of shipwreck tragedies on the nearby islands and reefs, convict hardship, lighthouse keepers arduous duties and family life.
Climb the original wrought iron spiral staircase to the top of the tower and step out onto the balcony to take in the breathtaking views of the sweeping southern ocean to the wild Tasman Sea, South East Cape, Whale Head and the small islands dotting the coastline... If you are not staying on the Bruny Island, please check Ferry timetable for arrival and departure times. Ferry’s may not be running to schedule and longer than usual wait times are possible during peak times. Allow 45 minutes to queue up for the Ferry.
Please set your GPS to highways and main roads not the shortest route.
Make your way to Cape Bruny Lightstation allowing 15 -20 minutes to park your vehicle.
Allow 10 minutes to walk up the hill to the Lighthouse Tower, arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your Tour time and our guide will meet you at the door.
Please ensure you have a current Tasmanian National Parks Pass to enter the South Bruny National Park.
